Streetsboro's Corporate ImageWorks/Vanguard, the promotional product marketer best known for its work with the Cleveland Cavaliers, continues to ride the plastic jerseytails of LeBron James to company growth.
ImageWorks in September grew its local staff to 30 after absorbing Vanguard, a small Beachwood firm. Now the company, which last year made a pop-culture splash with a promotional Mr. James boblehead doll, has opened an Atlanta office to be closer to clients in the Southeast and to scout for new work.
Marketing director Frank Migliore said the Atlanta office, which joins Phoenix as one of ImageWorks' two offices outside Northeast Ohio, will employ only a sales director to start.
"Several of our clients are either headquartered or have offices in this region, and our new presence will allow us to serve them with the same personal touch that we offer our local clients," Mr. Migliore saod. "Over time, we will explore adding sales and support staff as our business prospects turn into clients."
More promotions involving the Cavaliers are planned locally this year, but Mr. Migliore said the Atlanta office will concentrate on projects for Coca-Cola, NASCAR and the PGA.
